NOTE: You must be a currently enrolled student at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, the University of Michigan - Dearborn, or the University of Michigan - Flint, in order to qualify for and receive our services. You must have a valid UM Student Identification Number to proceed with the following request forms. All requests will bring up a form to complete and submit. Requests will be addressed by our staff during regular business hours. We will respond by email as soon as we are able. Thank you for your patience.
All appointments are currently conducted through an Attorney-Client privileged Zoom call, unless otherwise requested.
Office Hours:
Monday through Friday - 9am to Noon; 1pm to 5pm.

Housing
Request an appointment if you have an issue regarding your current, past or a potential residential lease contract with a private off-campus landlord. This includes, but is not limited to, lease review, issues of habitability, privacy, non-payment, other tenant and landlord responsibilities, and/or security deposit issues. Please include the name of the landlord or opposing party when submitting your appointment request.
Criminal
Request an appointment to discuss issues related to a current, pending, prior or potential criminal charge. This includes investigations, contact with any law enforcement agency, criminal background discussions, and civil traffic tickets/other civil citations. Please include the name of the law enforcement agency, prosecutor’s office or court when submitting your appointment request.
Family/Probate
Request an appointment to discuss issues related to marriage, divorce, child custody, child support, parenting time, prenuptial agreements, postnuptual agreements, paternity, guardianships, conservatorships, personal protection orders, legal name change, legal gender change, will preparation, estate administration, health care power of attorney, financial power of attorney, or other family law related questions. Please include the name of the opposing party if applicable when submitting your appointment request.
Civil
Request an appointment to discuss general civil legal questions. This includes consumer issues, collection demands, consumer credit, sales and service contract disputes, general contract reviews, house or condo closings, DMCA copyright demands, and victim of fraud or identity theft. If it is not something our office covers, we may still be able to assist you with obtaining a referral or other resources. Please include the name of the opposing party if applicable when submitting your appointment request.
Immigration
Request an appointment to obtain an Immigration Attorney referral through our panel of affiliated attorneys. Please include the name of the opposing party if applicable when submitting your appointment request.
